It is important to remember that old cassette tapes will never be the greatest quality and will suffer from degradation and ‘drop outs’. The format that this player converts to is not recognised by a number of programmes but it will play directly into a computer. It recommends using Audacity as an editing tool, I have been using Audacity for years and only got it to play by directly inputting the audio into it. After a bit of experimentation I managed to convert a 50 year old recording. This unusual product is really good if you are willing to master it, spend a little time, and are keen to re-record those treasured old tapes!

"Not Fit For Purpose"
I took this out the box, followed the rather poorly written instructions, and pressed rewind to run the tape back to the start. Rewind button wouldn't stop down at first so u I had to hold it down all the time the tape was rewinding. Then it wouldn't pop up so none of the other buttons would work. Utter waste of money. Mine will be going back.

"Portable Cassette Converter."
Clever compact device but had one or two issues with the way it stores the music files. Taped a few cassettes and played them in the car and your sound is only as good as the recordings plus there was the occasional 'jump' as in the old vinyl record days. There is Audacity software that smooths out those problems but that's for the connoisseur not me. Reminds me of an upmarket Walkman.

"Poor Instructions But Good Machine"
Seems to be a handy machine to use once you have read the instructions which would be better read in larger print as instructions are not very clear
