Just imagine sitting in your garden on a late summer's evening when there is a nip in the air. Now there is no need to go indoors earlier than planned because you can light our modern chimenea and continue to relax in the fresh air. You can use the chimenea all year round; on a summer's evening when it gets a little chilly, on an autumnal day or evening when the leaves are falling all around you, or even on a winter's crisp day or a beautiful spring morning.
Did you know that chimeneas have been around for hundreds of years and that, although they may look purely decorative when you see one in a garden centre, you can use them as a portable fireplace? Traditionally, clay chimeneas were used as a vessel for both cooking and heating, indoors and outdoors, and their origins can be traced back to Mexico and Spain. Nowadays, as with our modern chimenea, they are usually just used as a source of heat and to create a lovely ambience in the garden. Having said this, you can add a cooking grill to certain models.
Our chimenea is black in colour and tapered in shape. It has a series of holes that draw in the air towards the fire. It has four feet which allow it to be placed safely on any outdoor surface. It also comes with a rain lid which is fitted at the top of the chimenea to prevent water from entering and putting out the fire within. Our coated steel chimenea is an excellent alternative to a clay chimenea because it means that the fire can burn at a higher temperature, resulting in more heat. Its structure is also more lightweight than clay, enabling you to move it around the garden easily.
