Product Details

Help protect your pond and valuable fish from hungry predators such as cats and herons with our new set of 20 hexagonal floating fish guards.

Their interlocking system means they fit together quickly and easily following the edges of your pond (the predator's usual point of attack) providing a safe haven for your prized fish.

And, because the guards float on the surface and they're black, they are almost undetectable from just a few feet away - unlike traditional netting which would cover the whole pond.

And what's more they are easy to remove for cleaning and to cut sections out for plants and features too.

Each tile measures 30.5cm max.

(12in) and each pack includes 40 clips.

Home assembly required.

In stock orders are normally delivered within 5 working days using a tracked courier service. We deliver to the UK. Regrettably we cannot deliver to the Channel Islands and the Republic of Ireland. Please note our Customer Services opening times are 9am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday.

Will stop herons taking fish but they can still be stabbed with a long bill which is often fatal

These fish guards are very fiddly to put together. I broke one struggling to attach together. Once on the pond floating all ok but if you can’t get a clear are they sink. We’ll see what happens during the winter months and see if the thin plastic survives the frost.

I don't have any fish, but I do have a cat (and neighbouring cats) which delight in using any bare soil available in the garden as a loo. These guards are perfect for stopping this - they can be laid down singly or in groups to fit most spaces and are easily removed and cleaned for further use.

Bought these with a view to keeping the leaves out of the water as they fall off the trees. I found trying to fasten the pieces together with the clips provided almost impossible. In the end I used plastic bag ties, which work well and are more flexible. However, you can just float the pieces on the surface of the pond if you don't want a real barrier to herons.

Bought this to protect goldfish from predators. Not in a pool, but in a half barrel. Does the trick.
