Product Information
An enduringly popular old-fashioned rose, ‘Zephirine Drouhin’ is also known as the thornless rose and is one of very few almost thornless climbing roses available. With an exceptionally long flowering season from May to October, you’ll be treated to a profusion of large, cup shaped cerise-pink semi-double flowers that carry a powerfully sweet, fruity fragrance that will fill the air around them. A repeat flowering rose, ‘Zephirine Drouhin’, won’t stop flowering until late in the autumn, with its spectacular blooms standing out wonderfully against the foliage, which emerges coppery-red before maturing to glossy, rich green with purple tinged stems.Fabulous growing up a house wall, with the fragrance drifting through open windows, it’s happy in the ground or in a large pot and is a vigorous grower. Ideal for covering trellises, arches and pergolas.Supplied as a freshly potted, professional quality plant in a 3L potCare InformationRoses can be planted at any time of the year, as long as the soil is not frozen, waterlogged or drought-dry.Plant your rose where it can get plenty of sun for at least half of the day, and where it will be sheltered from the wind.Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, so add plenty of well-rotted manure into the hole if necessary and plant so that the graft union (the swollen area when the stems meet the roots) is around 3cm below soil level.Water well every other day - daily if the weather is hot and dry. Established roses can be watered around once a week through spring and summer - more if the weather is hot.For best results, feed roses in late-March/April and again in late July.

"Pleased With Everything Apart From The Size"
Ordering was easy, delivery was good, so that was all fine. Only thing was, although the plant was in a 3L pot, I did expect it to be larger, rather than a few new leaves on a plant which is barely a few centimeters tall. It seems healthy enough but it will be a long time before it even reaches the base of the trellis! :(
