This easy-to-use, highly effective tape holds rugs, runners and mats in place on all floors including wood, carpet, tiles, vinyl and marble. Simply cut and apply the self-adhesive tape to the underside edges of your rug – the rug will then stay put, and vacuuming is made easier too. Reusable and leaves no sticky residue. Roll L3m x W5cm.

I can imagine this product would work on a hard surface, it does nothing to stop a rug moving on a thick pile carpet.

Simply did not do what it was supposed to do, i.e. stop a small rug moving over a carpet.
