Trainee Stock Planner – for an initial 3 month period
 

The Role

Coopers of Stortford is a successful and well established multi-channel retailer in the Home and Garden sector.  With the ongoing growth of the business across its catalogue, web and retail channels we are now seeking a Trainee Stock Planner for an initial period of 3 months.

What are your responsibilities?
  • Responsibility for the purchasing process for a specific range of SKUs and take the necessary decisions to support and manage inventory and purchase strategies.
  • Analysis of stock levels, make decisions about purchase quantities and delivery frequency in line with the stock policies.
  • Create, update & maintain stock line listing
  • Review stock position for every SKU in line with best practice
  • Raise purchase orders as required in line with best practice and stock KPIs
  • Manage and communicate issues arising from product orders
  • Manage supply chain from order to warehouse delivery – in line with best practice
  • Produce reports in line with department best practices
  • Ensure PRIAM is primary source of all information and data
The ideal candidate will have the following skills/ attributes:
  • Be a competent user of Excel
  • Have a strong commercial acumen
  • Be a self-starter with good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
  • And have a great eye for detail and accuracy!
